Saint Luke’s Announces Fourth Quarter Grants for 2021

CLEVELAND – December 8th the Board of Trustees of the Saint Luke’s Foundation approved grants to 23 organizations totaling $2,673,874.00 over two years. These investments advance the Foundation’s mission to achieve health equity by addressing social determinants of health including educational attainment, financial stability, healthy eating and active living, safe and affordable housing, social connections, and the strengthening of the neighborhoods surrounding the former Saint Luke’s hospital.

Fourth Quarter Grants Awarded to Close the Health Equity Gap:

Advocacy/Policy

  • American Journalism Project (1 year, $200,000.00) for General Operating Support
  • Children’s Defense Fund – Ohio (1 year, $35,000.00) for Child Health Equity Project
  • City Club of Cleveland (1 year, $58,750.00) for Health Equity in Action Project
  • Esperanza Incorporated, Inc (2 years, $240,000.00) for General Operating Support
  • First Year Cleveland via Case Western Reserve University (1 year, $100,000.00) for General Operating Support
  • Philanthropy Ohio (1 year, $30,000.00) for General Operating Support
  • The Center for Community Solutions (2 years, $250,000.00) for Community and Racial Equity Project
  • The Cleveland Foundation (1 year, $175,000.00) for Funders Collaborative on COVID Recovery & Racial Equity, Racial Justice Initiative
