Cleveland, OH – On June 8th the Board of Trustees of the Saint Luke’s Foundation allocated $1 Million grants to 5 organizations. The Foundation approved the total of $5.9 Million in grants to 15 organizations during the second quarter of the year. Five organizations, including an earlier awardee, will each receive $1M multi-year grants, totaling $5M over a period of three to four years. These investments advance the Foundation’s mission to achieve health equity by addressing social determinants of health including educational attainment, financial stability, healthy eating and active living, safe and affordable housing, social connections, and the strengthening of the neighborhoods surrounding the former Saint Luke’s hospital.
“Our recent allocation of resources of $5.9 million to 15 hardworking strategy partners, is a testament to our resolute stance towards closing the health equity gap,” remarks Timothy Tramble, Sr., President and CEO of the Foundation. “Our belief holds steadfast that by investing deeper in the social determinants of health, we can support communities that brim with health and resilience.”
“This wave of grants isn’t solely a financial investment to these organizations, but a deeper commitment to the communities they serve – the individuals, the families, the heart, and soul of the community. We are committed to supporting the community to carve a path of change through these strategic collaborations, painting a vision of a future where health and equality aren’t determined by one’s socio-economic standing.”
