Third quarter grants approved

On October 11th the board of trustees of Saint Luke’s Foundation approved grants to eighteen organizations totaling roughly $1,600,000. These investments advance the Foundation’s strategic mission to achieve health equity in Cuyahoga County by addressing social determinants of health. The factors that have the biggest impact on health outcomes include educational attainment, financial stability, healthy eating and active living, safe and affordable housing and the strengthening of social connections. Additionally, an important part of our work is supporting a wide variety of people and organizations who work to strengthen the neighborhoods surrounding the former Saint Luke’s hospital. In all aspects of our mission, we are interested and engaged in efforts around public policy.

This quarter is the first round of grants made in the context of our new vision and mission. We are heartened to be able to see and support a broad range of organizations that pursue this work. Housing safety and stability
