20th Anniversary Reflection: Establishment of Francis H. Beam Jr. Fellowship

The Francis H. Beam Jr. Fellowship was established in 2005 and named in honor of the Foundation’s founding board chair.

The first fellowships were designed as an opportunity to learn about philanthropy and how the Foundation works in the community by providing a broad view of the public and nonprofit sector. More recent fellows have worked directly with host organizations on specific projects in the neighborhood such as health promotion and greenspace.
