Fresh Fest Cleveland Celebrates 5th Anniversary
WHO: Fresh Fest Cleveland, the highly anticipated celebration of music, arts, food, and culture, is thrilled to announce its return on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This year marks the festival’s fifth anniversary and promises an unforgettable day filled with live music, art installations, and activities for the whole family.
Headlining Fresh Fest Cleveland 2024 is the legendary hip-hop icon, Big Daddy Kane. Hip-hop legend Big Daddy Kane redefined the term “lyricist” with his ingenious rhymes. He also brought innovation to live shows, becoming the first rapper to sell out two all-female concerts at the Apollo Theater. Kane’s captivating performances, complete with theatrics and choreography, solidified him as a true entertainer. Awarded and acclaimed, Kane boasts several gold albums and a Grammy. Hits like “Ain’t No Half Steppin'” and “Smooth Operator” cemented his legacy. He collaborated with icons like Public Enemy, Ice Cube, and Barry White, further solidifying his influence. Kane’s impact extends beyond music with film appearances in “Posse” and “Juice,” showcasing his multifaceted talent.
Joining him will be a stellar (updated) lineup of local favorites, including Charity Evonna, DJ Corey Grand, Zell, A.M. The Queen, Floco Torres, Jinari Kmet and a special guest to be announced soon. The festival is free to attend and open to the public of all ages. It will include a full day of unforgettable performances, art installations, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, health and wellness activities, a farmers’ market, local vendors, hands-on activities, workshops, and a kids’ zone full of family-friendly fun.
