Saint Luke’s Announces Fourth Quarter Grants for 2020

CLEVELAND – December 17th the Board of Trustees of the Saint Luke’s Foundation approved grants to 14 organizations totaling $1,981,350. These investments advance the Foundation’s mission to achieve health equity by addressing social determinants of health including educational attainment, financial stability, healthy eating and active living, safe and affordable housing, social connections, and the strengthening of the neighborhoods surrounding the former Saint Luke’s hospital.

Fourth round grants awarded to close the health equity gap:

Healthy eating, active living

Housing safety and stability

  • CHN Housing Capital – Lead Safe Cleveland Coalition Home Fund (18 months, $200,000) for Program/Project Support
  • CMHA – Choice Neighborhood Support (1 year, $200,000) for Program/Project Support)
  • Enterprise Community Partners – Lead Poisoning Prevention Initiative (1 year, $143,000) for Program/Project Support

Improve the environment around Saint Luke’s to be a neighborhood of choice

  • City Year – Whole School Whole Child (1 year, $35,000) for Program/Project Support
  • Neighborhood Connections – Neighbor Up in Greater Buckeye (1 year, $112,000) for Program/Project Support
  • Western Reserve Land Conservancy, Thriving Communities Institute – Saint Luke’s Neighborhood Revitalization (1 year, $125,000)

An additional $250,000 program-related investment was committed to CHN Housing Capital for the Lead Safe Cleveland Coalition Loan Fund.
