Event Overview:
As part of our Health Equity series, we are honored to host Dr. Brian H. Williams, a trauma surgeon and author of The Bodies Keep Coming. Dr. Williams will lead a thought-provoking discussion on healing from trauma, especially for disenfranchised communities affected by violence. Drawing from his book, he will explore the complex connections between white supremacy, gun violence, and the health outcomes of the individuals he treats. His insights are grounded in years of firsthand experience and a commitment to addressing the structural inequities that leave lasting impacts on his patients.
