Saint Luke’s Foundation Announces Third Quarter Grants for 2020

CLEVELAND – On September 16th the Board of Trustees of the Saint Luke’s Foundation approved grants to 6 organizations totaling $463,500. These investments advance the Foundation’s mission to achieve health equity by addressing social determinants of health including educational attainment, financial stability, healthy eating and active living, safe and affordable housing, social connections, and the strengthening of the neighborhoods surrounding the former Saint Luke’s hospital.

Third round grants awarded to close the health equity gap.

Healthy eating, active living

  • See You At The Top (SYATT) (1 year, $36,000) for Operating Support

Housing safety and stability

  • Environmental Health Watch (1 year, $68,000) for Operating Support

Improve the environment around Saint Luke’s to be a neighborhood of choice

LAND Studio (1 year, $90,000) for Program Support

Cleveland Neighborhood Progress (fiscal sponsor) for Mt. Pleasant Now Development Corporation Operating Support (1 year, $100,000)

Advocacy and Policy – Health Equity

  • Better Health Partnership (1 year, $56,500) for Operating Support
  • Health Policy Institute of Ohio (1 year, $113,000) for Operating Support

Since it was established with the charitable assets of the Saint Luke’s Medical Center in 1997, the Foundation has awarded over $160 million in grants.
