Saint Luke’s Foundation awards $3 million in second quarter grants for 2019

The Saint Luke’s Foundation‘s Board of Trustees approved $3 million in grants to 21 organizations in its second-quarter grants for the year.

The investments, announced Tuesday, June 11, advance the foundation’s mission of achieving health equity by addressing social determinants of health, such as educational attainment, financial stability, healthy eating and active living, safe and affordable housing and more, according to a news release.

“Our mission is based on evidence that shows that health and longevity is impacted more by social determinants than by health care itself,” Anne Goodman, Saint Luke’s Foundation president and CEO, said in a prepared statement. “It is a great privilege to be able to support those organizations working hard to have an impact on those issues that contribute to health equity.”
